Look at this post, isn't it neat?

Happy to report this Winter I'll be playing Grimsby in Fiddlehead Theatre Company's production of DISNEY'S THE LITTLE MERMAID at Boston's historic Strand Theater. It runs November 27th-December 6th.  Stay tuned for more oceanic shenanigans!

Would you like me to decipher a Rorschach?

Hidilly-ho, blogarinos! Just finished up a sold out run of ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST at the Central Square Theater in Cambridge May 28-June 13. Easily one of the most fulfilling shows I've done in a while, and Dale Harding has quickly become one of my favorite roles in a long time. I've also been cast in a few exciting upcoming shows, but more on that to come!

They're coming to take me away!

Just a quick mention of an upcoming gig!  The gods of typecasting have apparently struck again, as I'll be playing a patient in a mental hospital next.  I'm playing the erudite Dale Harding in ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST May 28th though June 13th at the Central Square Theater in Cambridge MA. Stay tuned...

Where we're going, we don't need blogs!

Welcome to the far-flung future of 2015! I've been pretty busy lately, still working as an actor at the top-rated attraction Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum. Here I am drunkenly giving a toast as a dastardly redcoat during one of our popular Tavern Night events.
I've also appeared in several stage productions in Boston, including dweeby leading man Robin Oakapple in Ruddigore with the MIT Gilbert & Sullivan Players, and a gentleman's gentleman in Moonbox Production's The Importance of Being Earnest. Here I am being terrified by the formidable Lady Bracknell (the wonderful Ed Peed):
Though all of this pales in comparison to the most important event of all:
On October 11th, 2014 I married my amazing, talented wife Jamie!  We had an incredible honeymoon in Rome & can't wait to start our many adventures together!
Plenty of exciting new projects in the works for 2015! Stay tuned...

Aim for the head!

I recently had some long overdue new headshots taken.  Still wading through the lot, though this may be the frontrunner!  Whoever is this rugged, leading-man type? I simply MUST have him for my picture! (pic courtesy of Jamianne Devlin)

Immersive Strindberg? You must be crazy...OR DREAMING!

Aloha, culture vultures!  Just finished up an immersive theatre adaptation of August Strindberg's "A Dream Play" entitled "...Or Dreaming" and it was quite the surreal experience!  I played a grungy, vaudevillian Coal Hauler and the Dean of Law (who also happened to be a ventriloquist dummy, naturally).  It was a wonderfully ambitious project for the brand new Pariah Theatre Company and was well received by audiences.  I'd love to see more chances taken in local Boston theatre like this! A rave review from a local paper can be found here and an article on the production from the Boston Globe is here . Below is a very nice promo video made for the show as well.  Happy Holidays!

2012, we hardly knew ye!

Well, the year is almost at an end, and tumbleweeds are rolling through the ol' blog.  Thought I'd chime in with a little retrospecticus of some past shows.  But I'll start with an upcoming project!
I'll be appearing with the brand new Pariah Theatre Company in it's inaugural performance of "...Or Dreaming" an immersive theatre style adaptation of August Strindberg's "A Dream Play".  It runs December 7-16 in Quincy MA.  Just click the theatre company link for more info!

Now on to previous projects!  This past summer, I had the pleasure of reprising my role as the dastardly General Manager of the Month in the ever-popular "T:  Am MBTA Musical".  This time, instead of the cozy ImprovBoston stage, it was presented in Harvard Square's sprawling Club Oberon.  A splendid time was had by all, and audiences had the misfortune of seeing my glowering mug displayed on a giant screen.  A radio interview with the production team on WGBH can be heard here (& you may even hear me warble a few tunes from the cast recording on it...), and here is a review of the show!

In April, I enjoyed performing once again in a favorite show of mine, "The Fantasticks" with Fiddlehead Theatre.  I played Bellomy, the girls father, & a review can be found here!

I'm also currently a tour guide/actor with the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum, portraying stalwart Son of Liberty John Crane, as well as a regular cast member with Mystery Cafe Dinner Theatre.  Happy Holidays to all, & see ya next year!
